LIFE Groups

A LIFE group is 6-12 people who come together to build relationships of encouragement for the purpose of transformation through Christ.  In LIFE groups, we eat, worship, pray, and play together, as well as grow and serve together.  It's not just about meetings!  LIFE groups are not designed to be therapeutic support groups.  Cokesbury has a wide array of groups led by trained professionals for that purpose.

What happens at a LIFE group meeting?

  • Welcome - a meal that is shared by everyone present and a time of getting to know one another
  • Worship - a time of turning the group's focus toward God.
  • Word - studying and growing together in Christ.  This is not in-depth Bible study, but study in applying the Word to daily life.
  • Witness - Sharing one's hopes, dreams, growth, hurts, and reaching out to others in service as a group.
