Some of the affected by job loss are looking for a job for the first time in several years and may not know how to start that search. All who lose a job have special needs that range from emotional to financial to spiritual and beyond. The organizing team for NETWORK has categorized those needs into three teams:
As we develop the ministry, we also hope to identify job opportunities and make them available for job seekers through different posting venues.
The role of the NETWORK job ministry and its volunteers is to support the job seeker going through a job search. This support can be spiritual, emotional, and/or practicial. NETWORK is not a job placement agency - it is a ministry. If NETWORK provides a lead that results in a job, that i wonderful, but "success" in our ministry is measured in other ways as well.
If you feel called to be a part of this important ministry, we need volunteers to help with all facets of NETWORK. If you need some coaching yourself to prepare for helping others, we will provide that training. The need in our community is great, and the call to action for Cokesbury to help is loud. We hope that you will join us in the exciting process of developing this important ministry. No expertise is required. Only a desire to help others in the midst of a career transition.
