Free Movie Night - February 24
Friday, February 24, 6 p.m. in Epworth Hall to watch Courageous. (click HERE to go to movie website) The SonShine Choir kids and their parents will be taking care of your kids for donations toward their summer tour. Songwriter's Night March 11
Cokesbury is preparing for its 2nd Annual Songwriter’s Night on Sunday, March 11. We are taking submissions for original songs to be performed that night. Submission must be in by March 1, 2012. You can send an mp3 to pjones@cclive.org or drop off a CD at the church office (with your contact information) with attention to Paul Jones. We look forward to hearing how God has blessed so many with the gift of songwriting.
New Study For Pathfinders Class
24 Hours That Changed the World by Adam Hamilton is being studied on Sundays at 9:40 a.m. in the Pathfinder’s Class at the South Campus (downstairs across from the choir room). Join us for this 6-week study.
Preschool Registration Begins March 5

Cokesbury In Action Set For April
Save the date for Cokesbury’s next community service day, Saturday, April 14. We’ll send groups of people (made up of families, small groups, and individuals) to do projects throughout the community. Watch the bulletin for details on how to sign up.
Mission Trip
We are planning a mission trip to Jamaica June 2-9, 2012. The mission trip will include the opportunity to participate in a music camp with the local community. Want To Start A LIFE Group?
We’re having a new LIFE Group Leader training session on Saturday, March 10 from 9 – 3 in the Conference Room on the North Campus. This is for EVERYONE who is interested in finding out how to start a LIFE Group. There’s no charge and lunch will be provided. Leaders are not necessarily “teachers”, but are the ones who convene the group. Everyone in the group has a role and the work of the group is shared. Please sign up via tear-out. Holston Evangelism Conference
On March 16-17 we will have a great opportunity for everyone to be part of the Holston Evangelism Conference here at Cokesbury.
Conference Itinerary:
Friday, March 16 (7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.)
Dave Hood, who serves as pastor of Fort McKinley UMC (the offspring of Ginghamsburg UMC) an urban church located in Dayton, Ohio and Rusty Eshleman, the Worship and Music leader, as well as the community mission and outreach director, will lead a session on “Rebuilding Relationships”.
Saturday, March 17 (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
The session will be “Restore Hope,” as well as an interactive video link with persons in Dayton. Session three on Saturday will be “Renew Community”, and the closing worship will be by our Bishop, James E. Swanson, Sr. Our own Paul Jones is sharing the music on Saturday with his friend, Rusty Eshleman.
We hope to have a large group from Cokesbury at the conference both days. The only charge will be $8 for lunch on Saturday. Please register via tear-out or message Rebekah Fetzer on The City. Now is your chance! The Cokesbury Handbell Choir is seeking 3 new members for the spring season. If you can read music, you can ring bells, and it’s lots of fun! The handbell choir will meet from February through April on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 6:30.
